Dr. Dipu Moni, former Minister of Social Welfare and joint secretary of the Awami League, was detained on Monday evening in Dhaka’s Baridhara area. Following her apprehension, she was placed in the custody of the Detective Branch of Dhaka Metropolitan Police. Dipu Moni, who previously served as the Education and Foreign Minister under the Awami League government, was detained under undisclosed charges.
