A landslide in Khagrachhari’s Alutila area has significantly disrupted road connectivity to the Dhaka-Chittagong highway. The incident occurred at around 8:30am on Saturday near the Sapmara area of Alutila, following heavy rainfall that caused soil and debris to collapse onto the road.
Fortunately, no injuries or casualties have been reported. Maksudur Rahman, executive engineer of the Khagrachhari Roads and Highways Department, confirmed that efforts are underway to clear the debris and restore traffic flow. Authorities have advised travelers to remain patient as work continues to reopen this critical route.
