Authorities have confirmed that all 639 police stations across Bangladesh resumed their operations on Thursday. According to a message from Police Headquarters, all police stations have returned to regular activities.
This includes the 110 police stations in metropolitan cities and 529 stations in various districts. Additionally, the 24 police stations under Government Railway Police (GRP) have also resumed their services.
The operations at most police stations were suspended after the fall of the Sheikh Hasina-led government on August 5, following widespread attacks on police stations across the country amid mass protests. In response, Home Affairs Adviser M Sakhawat Hossain issued strict orders for police personnel to return to their duties immediately.
