The interim government has announced that the killings during the recent student protests will be prosecuted in the International Crimes Tribunal. Investigations into these incidents will be conducted under the supervision of the United Nations, according to Professor Asif Nazrul, the interim government’s advisor on law, justice, and parliamentary affairs, who disclosed this at a press conference on Wednesday. The tribunal will handle cases related to the killings that occurred between July 1 and August 5 during the student and general public protests. Additionally, all harassment cases filed in connection with the student movement across the country will be withdrawn by August 31. Cases filed during the Dhaka protests will be withdrawn by Thursday, including those against journalist Rozina Islam and Nagorik Oikya President Mahmudur Rahman Manna. Rozina Islam’s passport has also been returned to her.
