The Saudi Arabian Embassy has restarted issuing visas to Bangladeshi workers, beginning on Wednesday. Saudi Arabian Ambassador to Bangladesh Isa bin Yusuf Al-Duhailan confirmed this development following a courtesy meeting with Md Touhid Hossain, the foreign affairs adviser.
Ambassador Al-Duhailan stated, “The Saudi Embassy is now fully operational and providing all services, including visa issuance. Under normal circumstances, we process an average of five thousand visas daily.”
During the meeting, discussions between the ambassador and the foreign affairs adviser covered various topics, including the strong historic relationship between Bangladesh and Saudi Arabia, economic cooperation, and visa processing. The ambassador expressed hope for Bangladesh’s future, saying, “We anticipate that stability and peace will soon return to Bangladesh, allowing the country to thrive.”
In light of recent rumors about former Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina seeking asylum in Saudi Arabia while currently in India, the ambassador clarified, “I have not heard of any such request.”
