The Ministry of Education has proposed rescheduling the postponed Higher Secondary Certificate (HSC) and equivalent examinations to begin on September 11. This proposal was submitted to Prof Muhammad Yunus, the chief advisor to the interim government, on Tuesday. Prof Tapan Kumar Sarkar, chairman of the Inter-Education Board Coordination Committee, confirmed the news, as reported by Prothom Alo.
The exam schedule had been uncertain due to recent attacks on multiple locations where question papers were stored. Initially, the HSC exams were postponed due to violence related to the quota reform protests, with plans to resume them on August 11. Following the delay, rumors spread on social media about the exams possibly being conducted on a shortened syllabus or with auto passes, though these were unfounded.
