Farooq-e-Azam, a decorated freedom fighter and Bir Pratik awardee, is set to take the oath of office as an adviser in the interim government led by Professor Muhammad Yunus. The swearing-in ceremony will be administered by President Mohammed Shahabuddin at the Bangabhaban at 11 AM on Tuesday.
Farooq-e-Azam, who recently returned to Bangladesh from the United States on Sunday night, joins the ranks of the interim government following the oath-taking of Dr. Bidhan Ranjan Roy Poddar and Supradeep Chakma earlier on Sunday.
