MetLife Bangladesh has introduced a new cashless outpatient service exclusively for organizations that provide life and health insurance to their employees through MetLife.
This innovative service allows employees to access outpatient hospital services without the need to pay cash upfront at hospital counters. Outpatient services include consultations, prescribed medicines, and investigations administered without an overnight stay.
In addition to the existing cashless hospital admission facility, this new service will benefit over 300,000 employees from more than 900 organizations with MetLife’s employee insurance plans. Dependents of these employees will also be eligible for these services.
The introduction of cashless outpatient services offers significant advantages by eliminating the stress of upfront medical expenses. This allows employees to focus on their health and well-being without financial distractions. It also streamlines the medical care process, enabling prompt and efficient access to necessary treatments.
Ala Ahmad, Chief Executive Officer of MetLife Bangladesh, commented on the new service: “We want to help our customers focus on their well-being and not worry over expenses when they go to a hospital. This holistic approach to employee insurance will help organizations demonstrate their care to their employees and their families.”
The cashless facility is subject to the financial limits set by the organizations. Initially, the service is available at United Hospital Limited, with more hospitals to be added throughout the year.
