Authorities have announced a four-month closure of the road from Hajj Camp to the airport railway line on the Airport-Dakshinkhan road to facilitate the construction of the “Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport Pedestrian Underpass.” An official from the underpass construction project confirmed the closure to the Dhaka Tribune on Tuesday.
The Shahjalal International Airport Pedestrian Underpass Construction Project authority had previously issued a public notification about the temporary road closure. The notice specified that the connecting road from Airport-Dakshinkhan Road to the Hajj Camp-Airport Rail Line would be closed from the date of the notification’s publication.
During the closure period, all vehicles and pedestrians are requested to use Kaola Road as an alternative route. The authorities have expressed sincere apologies for any inconvenience caused by this temporary road closure.
