To accommodate the surge in passengers during Eid, Bangladesh Railway will add 162 extra passenger coaches to trains. Tickets for these additional coaches will be available online 12 hours before departure, the rail transport agency announced on Tuesday.
The extra coaches include 60 broad-gauge and 102 meter-gauge units, which will be allocated to trains nationwide. Eid-ul-Azha homebound train trips commenced on Wednesday, with initial tickets sold online earlier this month.
