North South University (NSU) has been ranked in the 901-950 band in the QS World University Rankings 2025, the highest position among all private universities in Bangladesh.
The 21st edition of the QS World University Rankings, released on Tuesday, includes 1,503 institutions from 104 global locations. The ranking methodology covers five broad performance areas: research and discovery, employability and outcomes, learning experience, global engagement, and sustainability. The 2025 edition has updated its methodology to emphasize student-relevant issues like sustainability and employability.
Prof Atiqul Islam, Vice-Chancellor of NSU, stated, “This achievement reflects the hard work of everyone at NSU. My gratitude to the faculty and staff for their dedication. Because of their commitment, we have reached and retained this milestone.”
He added, “The number of Bangladeshi universities in the ranking is increasing over the years. Other universities have also performed well; congratulations to all of them.”
