All coaching centres will be closed from June 29 to August 11, as HSC and equivalent examinations commence on June 30.
Education Minister Mohibul Hasan Chowdhury announced this at a press conference held by the education ministry at the Secretariat on Wednesday.
“The decision aims to ensure fair and orderly examinations, free from rumours of question paper leaks,” he stated.
A total of 14,50,790 students from nine General Education Boards, the Madrasa Board, and the Technical Board will take the exams across 2,275 centres from 9,463 institutions. This includes 11,28,281 students from General Boards, 88,076 from the Madrasa Board, and 2,34,433 from the Technical Board. Last year, 13,59,342 students participated in the exams.
Additionally, 281 students will take the exams from eight overseas centres.
According to the schedule, HSC written exams will start on June 30 and end on August 11, with practical exams from August 12 to August 21. Exams under the Technical Board will continue until July 18, with practical exams from July 19 to August 4.
All examinees must arrive at exam centres 30 minutes before exams start. The question paper code will be sent via SMS 25 minutes before the exams begin. Mobile phones are prohibited inside exam centres, except for in-charges.
Only examinees, centre invigilators, ministry and board teams, local and upazila administration teams, and security personnel are allowed in the exam centres.
