The Bangladesh Meteorological Department forecasts rain or thundershowers for five divisions, including Dhaka and Chittagong, over the next 24 hours starting from 9am on Thursday.
According to the BMD bulletin:
- Rangpur, Mymensingh, and Sylhet divisions may experience rain or thundershowers with temporary gusty winds in a few places.
- Dhaka and Chittagong divisions are likely to see rain or thundershowers in one or two places.
- The rest of the country is expected to remain mainly dry with partly cloudy skies.
Temperature forecasts:
- Day and night temperatures may slightly decrease in the northern regions.
- Slight increases in temperatures are anticipated in other areas of the country.
Weather influences:
- A trough of westerly low extends from West Bengal in India to the northwest Bay.
- The southwest monsoon has advanced up to the Teknaf coast.
