Launch services on inland waterways from Dhaka resumed at 12pm on Tuesday, following the withdrawal of the warning signal by the Bangladesh Meteorological Department (BMD) as Cyclone Remal’s influence weakened.
The resumption was confirmed by Bangladesh Inland Water Transport Authority (BIWTA) Public Relations Officer Ehteshamul Parvez in a press release.
Launch services had been suspended on all routes from 10pm Sunday by the Shipping Ministry due to Cyclone Remal intensifying over the Bay of Bengal.
