On Saturday, KSRM, a leading steel manufacturer in Bangladesh, introduced the national pension scheme for its officials and employees, becoming the first industrial group in the country to do so. The initiative was celebrated with a program organized jointly by the Sitakunda Upazila Administration and KSRM. Spearheaded by Sitakunda Upazila Nirbahi Officer (UNO) KM Rafiqul Islam and KSRM Deputy Managing Director (DMD) Shahriar Jahan Rahat, the scheme initially covers around 1,000 officers and employees at the Sitakunda plant, with plans to gradually include all staff. As part of their corporate social responsibility (CSR), KSRM will pay the first installment of the pension scheme. The program was attended by several key figures, including UNO KM Rafiqul Islam and KSRM Director (Plant) Commodore (Retd) MS Karib. This move aims to ensure the financial security of KSRM employees and serves as a model for other industries nationwide.
