This year’s Secondary School Certificate (SSC) and equivalent examinations witnessed a notable improvement, boasting an average pass rate of 83.04%, a significant uptick from last year’s 80.39%. Across the nine general education boards, the pass rate stands impressively at 83.77%, reflecting a commendable performance by students. Notably, female students outshone their male counterparts, securing a slightly higher pass rate of 84.47%, while male students achieved a respectable 81.57% pass rate. Education Minister Mohibul Hasan Chowdhury presented the results summary to Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina on Sunday morning, showcasing the collective achievement of students nationwide. Among the education boards, Dhaka board led with a pass rate of 83.92%, followed closely by Barisal at 89.13%. Meanwhile, Madrasa Education Board recorded a pass rate of 79.66%, underscoring the diversity of educational pathways pursued by students. This year’s examinations commenced on February 15, with written exams concluding on March 12 and practical exams wrapping up on March 20. The impressive participation of over 2 million students across 11 education boards highlights the significance of these examinations in shaping the academic landscape of Bangladesh.
