After a hiatus of approximately one and a half months, Bangladesh University of Engineering and Technology (Buet) students have resumed their postponed term final exams on Saturday. Commencing at 9 am, the exams are scheduled to run until June 6, with no classes conducted during this period. In the initial phase, students from 11 departments, excluding the Department of Nanomaterials and Ceramic Engineering and the Department of Architecture, are participating in the examinations from 9 am to 12 pm. The resumption follows a period of unrest triggered by the entry of Chhatra League President Saddam Hussain and other leaders on March 28, leading to student protests against the violation of the ban on campus politics. With the assurance of stricter measures against those flouting the ban, Buet students have rallied to resume academic activities, marking a step towards normalcy amidst challenging circumstances.
