Thursday marked the release of the much-anticipated results for the 46th Bangladesh Civil Service (BCS) preliminary tests, with an impressive 10,638 candidates successfully clearing the examination. The Public Service Commission (PSC) announced the outcome following a dedicated meeting convened for this purpose.
Conducted across multiple exam centers in key cities such as Dhaka, Chittagong, Rajshahi, Khulna, Barisal, Sylhet, Rangpur, and Mymensingh on April 26 from 10 am to 12 pm, the preliminary test saw a massive participation of 254,561 candidates. However, a notable absence of 83,825 examinees was recorded.
The competition was fierce for the available 3,140 positions, encompassing 1,682 posts for assistant surgeons, 16 posts for assistant dental surgeons, and 520 posts in the education cadre.
