Dhaka University is gearing up to resume in-person classes and examinations, marking the end of a two-week closure prompted by the heatwave. The university’s public relations office confirmed the decision through a press release on Monday.
Amid scorching temperatures, classes and exams had transitioned online, as announced by the university’s registrar on April 21. The registrar’s notification cited the severe heatwave gripping the country and emphasized health precautions, urging students to adhere to guidelines diligently, even recommending a return home to minimize health risks.
