In the past 11 days, the price of gold has seen a significant decline, plummeting by Tk8,596. The Bangladesh Jewellers Association (Bajus) revealed this ongoing trend with a reduction in gold prices for the seventh consecutive day as of Tuesday.
Notably, the price of 22-carat gold witnessed a decrease of Tk420 per bhori. As of 4 pm on Tuesday, the revised price for one bhori (11.664 grams) of 22-carat gold stands at Tk1,11,041, down from Tk1,11,461.
In light of these adjustments, the per bhori rates for 21-carat and 18-carat gold have been set at Tk1,06,002 and Tk90,862 respectively, reflecting the current market dynamics, as per Bajus.
This downward trajectory contrasts sharply with April 18 when 22-carat gold was priced at Tk1,19,637. Subsequently, gold prices have seen reductions on April 23, 24, 25, 27, 28, 29, and 30 after experiencing three consecutive increases on April 6, 8, and 18.
