In a continued trend, the Bangladesh Jeweller’s Association (Bajus) announced another reduction in gold prices on Saturday. With a decrease of Tk630 per bhori (11.664gm), the local market witnessed a decline in the cost of pure gold. Effective from 4:30 pm on Saturday, the revised rates reflect a significant adjustment, with high-quality 22-carat gold now priced at Tk1,12,931, as per Bajus’ statement. This reduction marks the fourth consecutive drop in gold prices, following adjustments made last Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday. Alongside, prices for 21-carat gold stand at Tk1,07,799 per bhori, and 18-carat gold at Tk92,402 per bhori. Interestingly, while all types of gold registered a decline, traditional gold saw a marginal increase of Tk2,041 per bhori, reaching Tk76,842. Meanwhile, silver prices remain unchanged amidst these fluctuations in the gold market.
