Emphasizing the unwavering commitment to serving hajj pilgrims with excellence, Religious Affairs Minister Md Faridul Haque Khan announced on Saturday a significant reduction in the cost of the general hajj package compared to last year, despite the challenging exchange rates.
Minister Khan stated, “We are dedicated to ensuring that hajj pilgrims from our country can undertake the journey at a reasonable expense.”
Speaking at the inauguration of the “Hajj Pilgrims Training 2024” at Osmani Smriti Auditorium in Dhaka, Minister Faridul Haque Khan revealed that the government has lowered the price by Tk1,04,178 for the government hajj package and Tk82,818 for private hajj packages.
Furthermore, Minister Faridul affirmed the government’s commitment to streamlining official procedures for pilgrims, prioritizing their comfort and convenience.
The minister underscored the importance of adhering to religious guidelines during the hajj pilgrimage and highlighted the significance of the pilgrimage in the life of every Muslim.
The event, chaired by the ministry’s secretary Md A Hamid Zamadder, featured discussions from Additional Secretary (hajj) Md Matiul Islam, Additional Secretaries Md Nayeb Ali Mandal and Dr Md Manjurul Haque, and Dhaka Hajj Office director Muhammad Kamruzzaman, among others.
