Witnessing a historic surge, the price of gold has reached an unprecedented high, soaring to Tk1.19 lakh per bhori.
The Bangladesh Jewelers Association (Bajus), through a press release signed by Chairman Masudur Rahman, announced a substantial increase of Tk2,064 per bhori for 22-carat gold.
Effective immediately from Thursday evening, this new pricing reflects adjustments made in response to prevailing market conditions, as stated by Bajus.
Under the revised rates, 22-carat gold (11.664 grams) will now be available at Tk1,19,637, 21-carat gold at Tk1,14,202, 18-carat at Tk97,884, and traditional gold at Tk78,801.
While gold prices witness an uptick, the cost of silver remains unchanged. Currently, the rates stand at Tk2,100 for 22-carat silver, Tk2,006 for 21-carat, Tk1,715 for 18-carat, and Tk1,283 for traditional silver, categorized accordingly.
