The Bangladesh Meteorological Department has issued a forecast indicating the escalation of the prevailing mild to moderate heat wave across Rajshahi, Dhaka, Khulna, Barishal, Chittagong, and Sylhet divisions. This intensification is expected to occur within the next 24 hours, beginning at 9 am on Saturday.
According to the weather bulletin, the upcoming weather pattern is likely to feature predominantly dry conditions with intermittent partly cloudy skies throughout the country. Daytime temperatures are anticipated to experience a slight increase, while nighttime temperatures are projected to remain relatively stable across Bangladesh.
On Friday, the country recorded a maximum temperature of 39.0°C in Rangamati, with the minimum temperature for Saturday measured at 19.5°C in Tetulia.
In the capital city, the sun is scheduled to set at 6:20 pm on Saturday and rise at 5:38 am on Sunday. As the heat wave intensifies, residents are advised to take necessary precautions to mitigate its effects.
