The Bangladesh Meteorological Department (BMD) has issued a forecast predicting rain or thundershowers in Dhaka and seven other divisions over the next 24 hours starting from 6 pm on Monday.
According to the meteorological bulletin released on Monday, “Rain or thundershowers accompanied by temporary gusty or squally winds are likely at a few places over Rajshahi, Dhaka, Khulna, Barisal, Chittagong, and Sylhet divisions, and at one or two places over Mymensingh and Rangpur divisions, with hails expected at isolated places.”
Additionally, both day and night temperatures across the country may decrease by 1-2°C.
While a mild heat wave persists in Rajshahi and Dinajpur, it is expected to abate soon. Rajshahi recorded the highest temperature in the country at 36.7°C.
