Minister of Railways, Md Zillul Hakim, has unveiled plans for a dedicated train service catering to garment workers to facilitate their journey home during Eid.
Addressing queries from journalists on Sunday during his return from a three-day visit to Pangsa upazila of Rajbari to Dhaka, the Minister emphasized the government’s concern regarding the safe return of garment workers for Eid celebrations.
He stated, “We have taken steps, as per the directives of the Prime Minister, to ensure the safety and happiness of garment workers during their Eid travels.”
Furthermore, the Minister highlighted arrangements for standing tickets and separate compartments exclusively allocated for garment workers, aiming to streamline their journey experience.
