As Muslims eagerly anticipate Eid-ul-Fitr, the national moon-sighting committee is set to convene on Tuesday to determine the auspicious date for the celebration.
The crucial meeting will take place at the conference room of the Islamic Foundation’s Baitul Mukarram Mosque office in the capital around 6:30 pm, immediately after Maghrib prayers, as stated in a press release issued by the Islamic Foundation dated Monday.
The session will be chaired by Religious Affairs Minister Md Faridul Haque Khan, who will lead the committee in scrutinizing sightings of the Shawwal moon across Bangladesh’s skies.
