Muslim devotees across the nation will engage in special prayers, Quranic recitations, zikr sessions, and other religious rituals, seeking blessings from Almighty Allah for personal well-being, familial harmony, national prosperity, and the welfare of the global Muslim community.
President Mohammed Shahabuddin and Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina extend heartfelt greetings to the citizens and the Muslim Ummah worldwide on this auspicious occasion.
In recognition of the significance of this event, Sunday will be observed as a public holiday.
Media outlets will feature special articles, while state-run Bangladesh Betar, Bangladesh Television, and private TV channels will broadcast programs elucidating the importance of Lailatul Qadr.
As per the teachings of the holy Quran, this night holds immense spiritual significance, surpassing the value of a thousand nights, with angels descending and divine decrees being revealed by the permission of Allah.
Anticipated to fall on one of the odd-numbered nights during the last ten days of Ramadan, notably the 27th night, Shab-e-Qadr is revered as one of the holiest and most blessed nights in the Islamic calendar.
Observers often visit graveyards during this time to seek blessings for the departed souls of their loved ones.
Throughout the month of Ramadan, Muslims engage in spiritual practices including fasting, prayer, Quranic recitation, and charitable acts, viewing it as a period of profound spiritual growth.
Following Taraweeh prayers, various religious gatherings such as Waz-mahfil, milad, doa-mahfil, and special munajat will be organized at mosques nationwide, including the National Mosque.
