As the Eid-ul-Fitr holiday approaches, Bangladesh Railway has initiated the sale of return train tickets online, following the conclusion of advance ticket sales.
Starting at 8 am on Wednesday, tickets will be available for purchase until April 10, ensuring ample opportunity for travelers to secure their return journeys.
Accessible through the railway’s website and mobile app, all train tickets are exclusively sold online this time around, streamlining the booking process for passengers.
To manage website traffic efficiently, tickets for the eastern and western regions are being sold at staggered times. Tickets for western region trains are available from 8 am, while those for eastern region trains commence sales at 2 pm.
The schedule outlines ticket sales for intercity trains on various dates, ensuring a systematic approach to ticket acquisition:
- April 13 tickets: Wednesday
- April 14 tickets: Thursday
- April 15 tickets: Friday
- April 16 tickets: Saturday
- April 17 tickets: Sunday
- April 18 tickets: Monday
- April 19 tickets: Tuesday
In response to public demand, 25% of tickets can be acquired from the starting station before the journey commences, offering added convenience for travelers.
Previously, advance ticket sales for Eid-ul-Fitr commenced on March 25 and concluded on March 31, setting the stage for seamless travel arrangements during the festive season.
