In a horrifying incident, a young woman was reportedly held captive, chained, and subjected to gang rape for a harrowing 25 days within a house located in Mohammadpur, Dhaka.
Following her rescue by the police, the survivor lodged a case with Mohammadpur police station on Sunday, implicating three men and a woman who assisted them. However, the accused individuals, including her alleged boyfriend Saan (26), along with his friends Himel (27) and Rocky (29), and the woman aiding them identified as Salma alias Jhumur (28), are currently at large.
Assistant Commissioner of Police (AC) Azizul Haque from DMP Tejgaon Division Mohammadpur Zone revealed, “Acting on a distress call, we rescued a young woman from a flat situated in the Nabinagar Housing area. Efforts to apprehend the perpetrators are underway, and further updates will follow.”
According to the police report, the victim endured a horrific ordeal, enduring chains and repeated assaults by her boyfriend and his associates for nearly a month. Allegations of recording the heinous acts have also emerged.
A press conference scheduled for Monday is expected to shed more light on this distressing case.
