Ahead of the upcoming Eid-ul-Fitr holidays, workers across various sectors, notably the garment industry, are set to receive their salaries, bonuses, and festival allowances as per a decision made during the 77th meeting of the Tripartite Consultative Council (TCC) convened at the Ministry of Labour and Employment on Wednesday.
The event, chaired by State Minister for Labour and Employment Md Nazrul Islam Chowdhury, underscored the government’s commitment to ensuring timely disbursement of bonuses and salaries to workers.
Addressing the attendees, Nazrul emphasized that discussions and agreements between employers and workers have paved the way for granting Eid-ul-Fitr holidays based on travel convenience without any reduction in holiday entitlements, ensuring job security for all workers leading up to Eid.
