On Bangladesh’s Independence Day, Chinese President Xi Jinping reiterated the significance of fostering strong ties between Beijing and Dhaka.
In a congratulatory message marking March 26, President Xi expressed his commitment to advancing high-quality Belt and Road Cooperation and strengthening the strategic partnership of cooperation between China and Bangladesh alongside President Mohammed Shahabuddin.
President Xi commended Bangladesh’s steadfast dedication to independence over the past 53 years, emphasizing its efforts in economic development and improving livelihoods, which have laid a robust foundation for the realization of the “Sonar Bangla” dream.
Highlighting the longstanding friendship between China and Bangladesh, President Xi emphasized the continuous growth of bilateral relations, marked by solid political trust and fruitful cooperation across various sectors, benefiting both nations.
Additionally, Chinese Premier Li Qiang and Foreign Minister Wang Yi extended separate congratulatory messages to Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina and Foreign Minister Dr Hasan Mahmud on the same occasion, underscoring the depth of bilateral relations between the two countries.
