Bangladesh Railways (BR) has unveiled four crucial instructions for officials and employees, aiming to avert any potential accidents during the upcoming Eid festivities.
As per an office order, issued on Monday, it’s imperative for trains to operate safely and punctually throughout Eid to ensure a seamless journey for home-bound passengers.
Outlined directives emphasize the vigilant monitoring of railway tracks in high-risk zones by both way-men and members of the railway security forces. Additionally, it’s mandated to preserve the contact details of these personnel for efficient communication.
In cases of necessity, a designated team comprising railway police, security personnel, and staff under the supervision of a senior deputy assistant engineer will conduct patrols. Railway masters, inspectors, and senior deputy assistant engineers are tasked with inspecting railway tracks within their jurisdictions, promptly reporting any concerns to the control room.
Furthermore, every divisional engineer is tasked with overseeing monitoring activities closely to uphold safety standards.
In anticipation of Eid-ul-Fitr celebrations, special trains are scheduled to commence operations from April 3, catering to the increased passenger demand during the festive period.
