In a significant development, the National Fitra Fixing Committee, led by Hafez Maulana Mufti Mohammad Ruhul Amin, the khatib of Baitul Mukarram National Mosque, convened on Thursday and announced the minimum Fitra amount for this year at Tk 115 per person, with the maximum capped at Tk 2,970.
This decision, reached after considering market prices of essential items such as flour, dates, cheese, and raisins, aims to ensure fair distribution of obligatory charity to the needy at the culmination of the holy month of Ramadan.
Fitra, a vital religious obligation, is disbursed to the underprivileged before the Eid-ul-Fitr congregation, serving as a means of support for those in need during the festive occasion. Stay tuned for more updates on this significant development.
