Delving into the intersection of climate change, environmental degradation, and their disproportionate effects on women, a seminar titled “Climate Change and Environmental Degradation – Impact on Women and the Way Forward” is set to take place in the capital this Saturday.
Organized by the SAARC Business Council – Bangladesh chapter of Women’s Indian Chamber of Commerce and Industry, the event will convene at the Ceremony Hall of Parliament Club, commencing at 10 am and lasting for 1.5 hours.
Esteemed guests include Environment, Forest, and Climate Change Minister Saber Hossain Chowdhury MP, Dr. Farhina Ahmed, Secretary of the ministry, and Dr. Samiya Ahmed Selim, Professor and Director of the Centre for Sustainable Development at the University of Liberal Arts Bangladesh, serving as the keynote speaker.
Distinguished speakers such as Dilruba Haider from UN Women, Runa Khan of Friendship, and representatives from Embassy of Sweden and Summit Group will contribute to the discussion.
Nurat Aman, Member of SAARC Business Council – Bangladesh and CEO of Ayat Education, will moderate the program.
