Excitement brews as the announcement of the 44th BCS written exam result is poised to grace the first week of April.
Chairman of the Public Service Commission (PSC), Sohrab Hossain, revealed, “Although we initially aimed for a March release, logistical considerations, including meticulous mark calculation, necessitate a slight delay. I am optimistic about unveiling the results in early April.”
The online application process for the 44th BCS commenced on December 30, 2021, with a deadline set for January 31, 2022. Following a rescheduling by the PSC, applications closed on March 2.
An impressive 350,716 aspiring candidates submitted applications. Subsequently, the preliminary exam took place on May 27, 2022, witnessing 15,708 successful candidates progressing to the written phase, held on December 29, 2022.
Outlined in the 44th BCS notification are plans to recruit 1,710 officers across various cadres. These include allocations such as 250 in administration, 50 in police, 10 in foreign affairs, and a diverse array of roles spanning audit, accounts, transportation, education, and more.
