Dhaka Mass Transit Company Limited (DMTCL) has introduced a special timetable for the metro rail during the upcoming Ramadan, bringing a noteworthy change in operating hours.
For the initial 15 days of Ramadan, there will be no alteration in the metro rail timings. However, a significant adjustment is slated for the last 15 days, where the operating time of the metro trains will be extended by one hour from both ends.
During the final 15 days of Ramadan, the last metro train departing from Uttara is scheduled for 9:20 pm, while the last train from Motijheel to Uttara will depart at 9:40 pm.
DMTCL Managing Director MAN Siddique disclosed this information during a press conference held at the DMTCL conference room in the city’s Eskaton area on Sunday.
It’s important to note that, under the new schedule, the last metro train from Uttara to Motijheel will depart at 8 pm, and the final train from Motijheel to Uttara will leave at 8:40 pm. This adjustment aims to accommodate the Ramadan schedule and provide convenient transportation options for commuters during this holy month.
