Train services connecting Dhaka with major parts of the country experienced a one-hour disruption on Saturday morning due to an incident involving a crane used for the Dhaka Elevated Expressway project. The crane fell onto a rail track near the FDC gate in Karwan Bazar, prompting a temporary halt in railway operations.
According to Officer-in-Charge Ferdous Ahmed Biswas of Dhaka Railway Police Station, the incident occurred at approximately 6:40 am. Train movement remained suspended until 7:30 am, with authorities swiftly responding to address the situation.
