In a bid to stimulate jute production, the government has unveiled plans to allocate approximately Tk 7.49 crore as incentives to farmers across the country.
A press release on Thursday outlined that a total of 3,36,600 small, marginal, and medium farmers are set to benefit from this initiative, receiving free seeds.
Under the scheme, each farmer will be entitled to one kilogram of BJRI Tosha Pat-8 (Robi-1) seeds for every bigha of land dedicated to jute cultivation.
