Law, Justice, and Parliamentary Affairs Minister Anisul Huq revealed on Tuesday that the government is set to establish a comprehensive legal framework for artificial intelligence (AI) in response to the global technological advancements.
In a meeting with a delegation from the Centre for NRB at the ministry’s conference room, Minister Anisul Huq shared insights into the government’s proactive approach, stating, “We are in the early stages of discussions to formulate a law on artificial intelligence. Responding to a request from Centre for NRB Chairperson MS Shekil Chowdhury, the law minister expressed his willingness to facilitate the virtual participation of non-resident Bangladeshis in the discussions related to the formulation of AI laws.

He noted that these initiatives have resulted in widespread benefits for people from all walks of life.
