Five women in the Rajshahi division were honored today with the “Joyeeta Award” in recognition of their achievements in various fields, overcoming challenges and adversities.
The distinguished awardees include Ila Rani Ghosh (economics), Kolyani Minj (education and employment), Rehana Parveen Mira (successful mother), Seyema Parveen (repression prevention), and Shefali Khatun (social development).
Each recipient was presented with a certificate, crest, and a cash prize of Tk 25,000.
Additionally, the event acknowledged five divisional-level runners-up and 30 district-level Joyeetas, each receiving certificates, crests, and Tk 5,000.
The awards were distributed across five categories encompassing economics, education and employment, successful motherhood, prevention of repression, and social development sectors. The event took place at Rajshahi Shilpakala Academy and was jointly organized by the Commissioner Office of Rajshahi division and the Directorate of Women Affairs office.
Secretary to the Ministry of Women and Child Affairs, Nazma Mobarak, addressed the program as the chief guest, with Divisional Commissioner of Rajshahi, Dewan Muhammad Humayun Kabir, presiding over the event.
