The National Board of Revenue (NBR) is set to kickstart pivotal pre-budget meetings for the next fiscal year (FY25) this Sunday, engaging with key stakeholders to gather insights and perspectives.
These pre-budget parleys will serve as a platform for the revenue board to exchange views with leaders and representatives from diverse chambers, associations, and professionals across different sectors, focusing on the intricacies of income tax, customs, and VAT.
According to Syed A Momen, the Public Relations Officer (Director) of NBR, the pre-budget meetings, commencing this Sunday, will extend until March 7. The grand finale will be marked by a joint NBR-FBCCI consultative committee meeting, where influential business figures representing various sectors will share invaluable opinions and recommendations for the upcoming budget.
Chairing these pre-budget meetings at the NBR Bhaban in Dhaka’s Agargaon area will be NBR Chairman Abu Hena Md Rahmatul Muneem.
The series of pre-budget dialogues will kick off by engaging with leaders from the Television Channel Owners Association and the Newspapers Owners Association on February 4. This marks the beginning of an in-depth exchange aimed at addressing the nuanced concerns and requirements of the business community and professionals.
