The Bangladesh Meteorological Department (BMD) unveils a diverse weather outlook for the country, predicting rain or thundershowers in multiple divisions, including Dhaka, Khulna, Rajshahi, Barisal, and Chittagong.
According to the most recent bulletin from the BMD, “Anticipate rain or thundershowers at select locations within the Khulna and Dhaka divisions, with intermittent showers forecasted in Rajshahi, Barisal, and Chittagong divisions.”
While other regions of Bangladesh are expected to remain predominantly dry, partly cloudy skies are anticipated.
The report highlights a cautionary note about the possibility of moderate to thick fog formation over river basins, coupled with lighter fog in other areas. This foggy condition, particularly dense near rivers, may cause temporary disruptions to inland river transport during late night and morning hours.
Temperature fluctuations are also on the horizon, with a slight rise in night temperatures and a minor decline in daytime temperatures projected nationwide.
Reporting from Chuadanga, UNB’s correspondent notes light rainfall since Tuesday night. The local Chuadanga Weather Observatory Centre, overseen by Officer-in-Charge Jaminur Rahman, recorded 3 mm of rainfall by 6 am on Wednesday. Additionally, a modest temperature increase was observed, with the mercury reaching 15.3 degrees Celsius early in the morning.
The forecast signals ongoing rainfall in Chuadanga and its environs until Friday, hinting at a damp conclusion to the week for local residents. Stay tuned for continuous weather updates and detailed insights.
