In a harrowing incident in Sirajganj, three family members were discovered brutally murdered, their lifeless bodies locked inside their residence in Barwari Battala Mahalla of Tarash Municipality. Police made the grim recovery at approximately 8:30 am on Tuesday.
The victims were identified as Bikash Sarkar, 45, son of Kalicharan Sarkar, his wife Swarna Rani Sarkar, 40, and their 15-year-old daughter Paramita Sarker Tushi, a class X student at Tarash Government Girls’ High School.
Inspector Noor-e-Alam, in charge of the investigation at Tarash police station, revealed that the assailants took the lives of the victims and confined them within their own home. The gruesome discovery was made after concerned family members, unable to establish contact, reported their suspicions to the police.
Authorities responded promptly, arriving at the scene and breaking the lock around 3 am on Monday. The bodies of the victims were found on the floor and bed, indicating a horrifying crime scene.
Relatives suspect that the murders occurred sometime between Sunday night and Monday. To gather crucial evidence, the Crime Investigation Department (CID) is slated to conduct an examination of the crime scene. The bodies will undergo autopsy at Sirajganj Sheikh Fazilatunnessa Mujib General Hospital morgue. This shocking incident has left the community in shock, prompting a thorough investigation into the circumstances surrounding this tragic event.
