An early morning fire at the Al-Arafah Islami Bank Limited branch on Nawabpur Road in Dhaka’s Gulistan has been successfully extinguished, thanks to the rapid intervention of five firefighting units from a nearby station.
According to Anwarul Islam, warehouse inspector of the fire service, the fire ignited on the first floor of the three-storey building at approximately 12:50 am. The firefighters took swift action, managing to bring the blaze under control by around 1:55 am and completely extinguishing it by approximately 2:10 am, as reported by UNB.
While the cause of the fire and the extent of the damage remain unknown at this time, Anwarul Islam reassured that there were no reported casualties.
