Swift Response by Firefighters Brings Chawkbazar Blaze Under Control

In a prompt response, firefighters successfully brought under control a blaze that erupted in two shops located on the ground floor of the six-storey “Solaiman Tower” in Dhaka’s Chawkbazar area on Saturday morning. The incident occurred around 9 am, and within approximately one hour, six firefighting units from Lalbagh, Palashi, and Siddique Bazar stations swiftly extinguished the flames by 9:50 am, as reported by Anwarul Islam, the warehouse inspector of Fire Service and Civil Defence (FSCD) headquarters media cell. The immediate cause and extent of the damages are yet to be determined.
