In response to the biting cold weather, educational authorities have taken the decision to temporarily close primary-level schools in Kurigram, Panchagarh, and Dinajpur districts. This precautionary measure is in effect until further notice.
The announcement follows a significant drop in temperatures, with Thursday recording lows as extreme as 9°C in these districts, as highlighted by Director General of the Directorate of Primary Education, Shah Rezwan Hayat.
Director General Hayat clarified that while teaching activities will be suspended during this period, teachers are required to be present for other essential work at the schools.
