Stay Informed: Bangladesh Meteorological Department Forecasts Rainfall and Fog
In the midst of an ongoing mild cold wave, the Bangladesh Meteorological Department (BMD) has issued a forecast indicating anticipated rainfall in various regions, with a focus on Dhaka.
Over the next 24 hours, starting from 9 am on Wednesday, rain is expected in Rajshahi, Khulna, Barisal, and Chittagong divisions. The met office highlights the likelihood of rain in one or two places within these areas.
Looking ahead to Thursday, the BMD’s forecast suggests the possibility of rainfall in one or two places in Dhaka, Rajshahi, Khulna, Barishal, and Chittagong divisions.
The forecast also includes the potential for moderate to thick fog covering the country from night through morning, persisting until noon in certain areas. This foggy condition may lead to temporary disruptions in air navigation, inland river transport, and road communication.
Bandarban recorded the lowest temperature on Wednesday at 9.4 degrees Celsius. As the cold wave persists, other parts of Bangladesh are expected to remain mainly dry, with temporary partly cloudy skies.
Prepare for temperature fluctuations, with a projected 1-2 degree Celsius increase in night temperature and a slight rise in daytime temperature across the country.
