Today, Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina appointed six advisers, with five of them retaining their previous positions. Notably, Kamal Abdus Naser Chowdhury, former principal secretary to the Prime Minister, was newly appointed as an adviser.
The retained advisers include Mashiur Rahman, who previously served as the economic affairs adviser; Tawfiq-e-Elahi Chowdhury, former adviser for power, energy, and mineral resources; Gowher Rizvi, adviser for international affairs; Salman F Rahman, adviser for private industry and investment; and Tarique Ahmed Siddique, former adviser for defense and security.
A notification regarding these appointments was issued by the Cabinet Division. Additionally, on November 29, 2023, Sajeeb Wazed Joy resigned from his position as the Prime Minister’s ICT adviser.
