The Cabinet Division has extended invitations to 25 Members of Parliament to be sworn in as ministers, along with 11 others as state ministers, forming the new cabinet under the leadership of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina.
Cabinet Secretary Md Mahbub Hossain conveyed this information to journalists at the secretariat. The list of ministers includes prominent figures such as AKM Mozammel Haque, Obaidul Quader, Dr. Dipu Moni, Asaduzzaman Khan Kamal, and others. Additionally, 11 individuals, including Mohammad A. Arafat, Zunaid Ahmed Palak, Nasrul Hamid, and Rumana Ali, have been nominated as state ministers.
Yeafesh Osman and Dr. Samanta Lal Sen are slated to take oaths as technocrat ministers. The specific portfolios assigned to each minister will be disclosed tomorrow following the oath-taking ceremony.
President Mohammad Shahabuddin had earlier invited Awami League President Sheikh Hasina to form the government, recognizing her majority support in the parliament. Notably, the Prime Minister has chosen to exclude several long-standing colleagues from her cabinet, including Abdur Razzaque, AHM Mustafa Kamal, AK Abdul Momen, and other influential figures within the Awami League.
